Welcome to my new blogsite!  Thanks for stopping by.  This has been such an exciting journey.  I have grown so much in the past couple of years and have met some amazing people along the way.  What I have learned is that I am not the photographer for everyone and everyone is not meant to be my client.  And that is ok!  Photography is truly my passion.  I think about it almost entirely too much. I stay up until the wee hours of the morning editing or brainstorming, because that is the only quiet, uninterrupted time I have.  I have so many ideas for next year that I am pumped to tell you about….soon!

A little bit more about me.  I’m a perfectionist by nature, but through photography I have found that I love the imperfections in life.  One of my favorite photos is one of our first family pictures, I stuck my son’s pacifier in my pocket.  It is sticking out and clear as day in the photo and I made a huge canvas out of it.  Everyone comments about the binky.  Everyone asks, “Why didn’t you photoshop it out?”  Because, I love it!  My son loved his pacifier and we didn’t go anywhere without it.  In my eyes, that binky told more of a story than the picture itself.  My life has not been perfect.  It has not followed the ideal path.  I have not always done things the right way.  But I wouldn’t go back and change anything!  I am who I am because of the good and bad I have experienced.

I’m a pretty open book, so if you’ve known me for any amount of time, you know a lot about me.  I make friends easily.  I like to make you laugh and I love for people to make me laugh.  I’m totally quoting another photographer here, but she seriously took the words right out of my head, “All I want in life is to photograph genuine people and not be the photographer who just “takes your photos”. I want to capture pure heartfelt moments and fill your head with memories every time you look back at your photos.”  My goal is to capture your connections.  I am so lucky to get to do what I do, but I also take it seriously and want to deliver the best images I possibly can.
I am excited for this year.  I am excited to continue on my path to see where in leads next.  I want use my creativity and shoot things that make me happy.  I don’t want to be that person that just takes your pictures.   I look forward to continuing my relationships with my current clients and meeting new faces.  So if it sounds like we click, contact me, I’d love to work with you!
