Motherhood Sessions

SCHEDULING
It is generally recommended to plan your maternity photography session at the beginning of the third trimester, around 30-34 weeks, when the tummy is nice and round. You want to be clearly showing but still feel comfortable enough to enjoy the process. Earlier than that and the belly may not be prominent enough, later than that and you may feel uncomfortable. But every woman and every pregnancy is different, so listening to your body is always a good idea!
WARDROBE
For our expecting clients, you have access to our wardrobe selection! We offer a range of various maternity gowns, beautiful chiffon and silk fabrics, bodysuits, flowy coverups, sheer garments and simple timeless pieces that our clients love. All portraits are respectfully photographed in good taste and nudity is always optional in studio. Brittney will make sure that you are comfortable with the various poses and each session is tailored towards your individual needs.
HAIR & MAKEUP
While professional hair and makeup is not required, it is highly suggested to create a polished look. At this time, we do not have a dedicated stylist, however we do have a few recommendations to pass along! Our goal for your maternity session is to enhance your natural beauty and embrace your "glow"!
Studio Sessions
Studio Maternity Sessions take place in my studio between 10-2 Monday-Friday with limited weekend availability. Studio maternity sessions are ideal for moms only. We have many different backdrops to choose from to customize your look along with over 75 gowns, fabrics and bodysuits at your finger tips!
Outdoor Sessions
Outdoor Maternity Sessions take place at sunset to provide for the ideal lighting. We have select natural setting locations to choose from that are the perfect background to showcase your beautiful bump. It is ideal for OUTDOOR maternity sessions that they take place between the months of April and October, specifically April - May and September - October. Houston becomes very hot and uncomfortable during the summer months as well as not very picturesque during the late winter months. Partners and/or children can be included in outdoor sessions.
How It Works
As soon as your session date is selected and booked, we will set up a Pre-Session wardrobe consultation to plan for your session! We will meet at the studio to chat about your preferences and dislikes to customize your session experience. You will be able to choose from a great selection of maternity gowns, fabrics, bodysuits, and much more in multiple styles and colors. We love being able to offer this complimentary service to our expecting mommas!
